Hawaii Part I

Hey all. I've been away in the land of warm air and sugary smells. Man oh man, it was heaven to just get away from the usual routine for a week and go on a serious (and apparently much needed) vacation. The trip was a family reunion of sorts. I spent my whole childhood traveling to Hawaii every other winter to visit my grandparents. There, all of my mom's sisters and their families would proceed to form really wonderful relationships and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.
My grandparents have since passed on, and our family hasn't all been in Hawaii together for just about 10 years. So we gathered once again as a family to remember my grandparents and spread their ashes across their favorite place that they knew.
There were moments of tension and unsureness. It was pretty wild to become reacquainted with my cousins and see where their lives have taken them thus far. But all in all it was magnificent. I got to spend time with my sisters, who I don't see very often, and that in itself made it a worthy trip. I have a great family, and love them all. Here's part one of the adventure....

Aloha to palm trees, warm water and daaaa beach!!

Mokulua Islands. Lanikai's main attraction (other than mega mansions and really tan/fit people)

Aunties. So happy to be in Hawaii.

Sister Poppy and Cousin Tobin.

We played a lot of games and drank way too much beer.

Stormy night.
