Robin Hood

It's been a long week so far, and still only half way through. Yesterday evening brought plenty of beautiful ladies and smiles to my yurt, which was welcome fun in the midst of these long work days. We all gathered to welcome our friend Callie home from the South. Whew! We thought we had lost her, but no fear, she back in good ol' Callie Blue stance. Girl has got a presence (in the best way). We did what we normally do when we get together; eat a bunch of food and giggle (there may be gossip involved as well). The sole male present was wild child Weston. Because of the complete lack of yurt toys, Alaya fashioned him an epic bow and he took to the sheep field. I'm so grateful for warm friends, the evening light and the quick approach to summatime....

Evening light.

I'm still learning how to take pictures in the dark. Its hard...

New Moon

A few friends spent the afternoon/evening at a favorite flat and sandy beach on the North end. It was the new moon, which this time around means REJUVENATION (thank you to Lissa). Rejuvenation always sounds good, no matter what context, bring the new moon on! We basked in the sun, sang songs, put a message in a bottle for some lucky fellow to find, Alex built a stick boat, the dogs played, food was consumed, fun was had, and we enjoyed it all!

The wooden and feathered catamaran! Cruisin!

We ended things eating a huge amount of meat at Namaste. Summer must be here!

The Island Spring

Just thought I would share a few shots of friends and spring, and whatever else I throw in. I gotta get these photos off my back and onto the Internet or else I might explode. I'm having a hard time sorting out my photos for specific posts, especially because they are all from weeks ago, and all of those wonderful memories aren't fresh in my mind. I don't really have any fresh memories come to think of it... but after this I'm all caught up and will be current! Until then its just a smorgasbord of good times, people, places, things... who knows. enjoy :)

A few went to Seattle and got to see Sam, a long lost friend who really knows how to play the keyboard.

Then all of the sudden, Josef's dark side came out.

Dueling cameras.

Late night blur in Kyra's sweet new digs.

A beautiful growing babe bump on a beautiful glowing friend.

Clinton on Orcas

Lopez is filled with a ton of strong and beautiful women. Because of the lack of men and the feeling of antsy-ness, we commonly go and find our kicks someplace else (not especially kicks in terms of men, but in terms of excitement and fun!). And we all happen to be friends, so as a result we have quite an entourage... It's huge and awesome.

So this time, chance took us back to a familiar place, just right next door... Orcas. Our favorite reggae artist, Clinton Fearon, was playing a newly opened pub. And we were sold; Orcas, Clinton, and brewery.  Too easy and beautiful.

A few ladies took the ferry over early to hike up Turtle Back mountain. It was a glorious day, all around. A day that you couldn't believe (still cant believe) went so darn well. We stayed at Golden Tree Hostel, which is newly opened by some Orcas Island friends and enjoyed all the hard work that they have put into it. Here are some photos of the hike and show.... and a rooster that greeted us at the Orcas ferry landing, and then kind of started chasing/following me.

Callie's got a new ride!

just a rooster...

Ring around the sun!

There was plenty of giggling!

Also, there was plenty of singing. Callie is definitely singing in this picture (if you cant tell).

And then we got to see Maria! Back from her travels and with some very new and special duck companions! This was a great part of the day.

This picture is trippy, I really like it.

Two of my main squeezes.

I just like him more and more, every time.
